You can recognize field mice by their grey-brown color. They can reach up to 15 cm in length which also includes their tail. Female field mice can reproduce any time of the year, 4 to 5 times a year. After three months, the newborns can begin to breed.

What is the difference between a field mouse and a house mouse?
Although they both belong to the rodent family, the field mouse and the house mouse have very different lifestyles and physical characteristics. The house mouse, smaller and with large ears, is a curious animal that prefers to live inside our homes, often near food sources. The field mouse, on the other hand, is an outdoor inhabitant (fields, gardens, and forests) recognizable by its large black eyes, its long hind legs adapted for jumping, and its often beige or reddish fur. In short, while the former readily invites itself into your pantry, the latter prefers to dig tunnels in your vegetable garden!
